Hope you are doing great. I am and specially because I’m trying out a cool new charcoal face mask. Charcoal masks are very popular nowadays especially if you are someone with oily skin, it’s a great way to get clear, oil free skin. Today I am reviewing Global Beauty Care Charcoal Wash-off Mask.
I try to pamper my skin with a detoxifying mask on the weekends. Recently, I came across this brand selling all sorts of spa skincare. So I thought of trying out the Global Beauty Care Premium Charcoal Wash-off Mask. It was available on Amazon at an unbelievable price.
What it Claims : Global Beauty Care Premium Charcoal Wash-off Mask is infused with natural charcoal which acts like a magnet to gently draw out deep dwelling dirt, oil and impurities from your clogged pores and lifts away dead skin cells without over-drying. Your face will look clearer and feel softer, from the inside out.
It is pH balanced, hypo-allergenic and not tested on animals.
What it does : It cleanses my skin quite well and does not cause any major dryness.
Ingredients : Water, Maris Limus, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Propylene Glycol, PEG-400,Caprylic /Capric Triglyceride, Polyquaternium-39, Isononyl Isononanoate, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Trehalose, Charcoal Powder, Betaine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Squalane, Malt Extract, Sodium PCA, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerine, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum.
How to use : Thoroughly clean and dry your skin. Massage a generous amount of mud treatment evenly over face, neck and body area avoiding eyes and lips. Leave on for 15 minutes or until dry. Gently remove mud with water and rinse off residue.
How I use it : I use this mask once every week. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser and take a generous amount of the mask and apply it on my damp face. I spread it evenly avoiding the under eye are and the lips. I make sure that the product is spread evenly in thickness without any lumps. This causes the product to dry evenly. Sometimes I use this product only on my T-zone, that is, the forehead, bridge of the nose and chin. Once the product has dried up quite a bit, I use gentle circular motion to scrub my face before rinsing my skin. Product residue can cause breakouts, so make sure you thoroughly rinse it off.
Since my skin is dry, I follow this deep cleansing mask up with a pH balanced toner and an oil free moisturizer. I take a small amount of toner on a cotton pad and dab it on my face. If there is any redness from scrubbing the toner takes care of it. I love the Dramatically Different Moisturizer from Clinique. It’s very good for all skin types.
Availability and Price : 1 oz / 30 ml sachet is available for $ 1.97 on Amazon.com
My Final Thoughts : I love deep cleansing masks, especially charcoal masks. However, I would not recommend using it very often if you have dry skin like mine. Once in a fortnight works fine for my skin. If you have oily to normal skin, using a charcoal mask once a week is a safe bet. Also, it is very important to wash off the residue thoroughly. Product residue is a major cause of breakouts and acne. If you have active acne, please refrain from irritating your skin too much by applying anything that dries out your skin. It can do more harm than good. The skin on my forehead is more oily than the rest of my face and masking with a charcoal mask like the Global Beauty Wash-off Charcoal mask has made a lot of difference. The key 🗝 is to be consistent.
That’s all for now. Take care of your skin. Keep it healthy on the outside and within by supplementing your skin care routine with proper diet.
Until next time.
